Top cities
Grandeur Connect is a technology and digital innovation company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We build connected platforms where people, businesses, data, payments, content and systems work together — six divisions sharing one identity layer, one data model and one cloud.
The foundation
Identity, access, integrations, notifications and analytics — the layer every other Grandeur service is built on.
Smart connectivity
Guest WiFi turned into a digital customer experience across malls, hotels, restaurants, airports, campuses and public spaces.
Measurable engagement
Brands reach real audiences inside connected environments — and see precisely what each impression achieved.
Digital entertainment
Premium live streaming for sport, fight nights, concerts and conferences — with ticketing, pay-per-view and audience interaction built in.
Operations, digitised
ERP, HR, payroll, procurement, fleet, inventory and finance workflows running in one connected back office.
Applied intelligence
AI pointed at practical problems: forecasting, segmentation, automated reporting, fraud detection and decision support.
Built from Ethiopia. Designed for Africa. Ready for the world.
Read the full company story — our mission, vision, leadership, values and long-term roadmap.
The platform
From the moment a guest taps “Connect” to the moment an advertiser reads their report, the whole journey runs on Grandeur Connect.
Guests unlock free WiFi through a venue-branded gateway — multi-language, mobile-first and fully configurable.
Serve promotions by venue type, city, age band, gender, visitor type and interest, with live pacing on budget.
Footfall, dwell time, peak hours and repeat-visit analytics for every venue in one live dashboard.
Owners track their earnings, advertisers track their campaigns — each in a secure portal of their own.
Extend campaigns to screens with Grandeur TV playlists, scheduling and remote fleet control.
Explicit guest consent, content filtering, encryption at rest and retention rules baked into every session.
Each feature below shows what it is, how it works day to day, and the value it brings to your business.
Branded captive portal
What it is
The page guests see when they join the venue WiFi, styled with the venue logo and colours.
How it works
Guests sign in by phone or social login, accept terms, then pass through an ad, video or survey before going online.
Why it matters
Venues look professional and collect verified guest contacts with consent.
Ad Gate enforcement
What it is
Router-level control that only opens internet access after the ad has been viewed.
How it works
The router checks with the cloud for each device; once the view is confirmed the device is granted access for a set time.
Why it matters
Advertisers pay only for real, completed views.
Guest intelligence & analytics
What it is
Dashboards showing visitor numbers, peak hours, repeat guests and WiFi zone heatmaps.
How it works
Every session is recorded anonymously by venue and zone, then turned into charts and downloadable reports.
Why it matters
Owners plan staffing, promotions and layout based on real footfall.
Campaigns & targeting
What it is
Tools for advertisers to create campaigns and choose where and when ads play.
How it works
Pick venues, cities, audience segments, schedule and budget; the ad engine rotates creatives and tests variations.
Why it matters
Budgets go to the audiences and times that perform best.
Grandeur TV & digital signage
What it is
Remote-managed screens in venues, buses and taxis.
How it works
Playlists and campaigns are scheduled in the cloud and screens download them automatically, with proof-of-play logs.
Why it matters
One schedule runs across hundreds of screens without visiting each site.
Surveys & feedback
What it is
Short questionnaires shown after sign-in or shared by link.
How it works
Build questions, pick a theme, and watch responses and satisfaction scores arrive live.
Why it matters
Venues and brands hear from customers instantly.
Payments & billing
What it is
Invoices, receipts and online payments through Chapa, bank transfer and mobile money.
How it works
Invoices are generated from subscriptions and campaigns; payments are verified and venue payouts calculated automatically.
Why it matters
Money moves on time with a clear record for tax and audit.
Taxi NFC fare cards
What it is
Prepaid cards passengers tap to pay taxi fares.
How it works
Agents register and top up cards, the in-vehicle sensor charges the fare, and owners withdraw earnings from their wallet.
Why it matters
Cashless, trackable fares for passengers, drivers and owners.
Mall, gym & parking systems
What it is
Membership cards, loyalty points, gym gates, cinema tickets and automatic parking.
How it works
Each service has its own portal for staff and owners, all tied to the same member and payment records.
Why it matters
Malls run every service from one place and see complete customer activity.
Front desk & call centre
What it is
A workspace for handling calls, visitors, tickets and issues.
How it works
Incoming calls are logged automatically with caller details, visitors get printed badges, and issues are sent to technicians or card desks.
Why it matters
Customers get fast, tracked support from first contact to resolution.
Field operations
What it is
Dispatch, technician tracking, inventory and SLA monitoring.
How it works
Jobs are assigned to the nearest technician, tracked on a live map and closed with photos and test results.
Why it matters
Outages are fixed faster and every repair is documented.
ERP, HR & finance
What it is
Internal company tools for staff, payroll, attendance, budgets and reports.
How it works
Employees clock in, request leave and receive payslips; finance approves payouts and exports tax reports.
Why it matters
The whole business runs on the same platform as the network.
This is a live model of a Grandeur Connect venue. Guests orbit the floor, the gateway pulses at the centre, sessions climb to the cloud and targeted promotions come back down to the screens. Choose a stage below to follow the journey step by step.
Stage 1 of 4
Every phone, tablet and laptop inside the venue sees your branded network name. The moment a guest joins, the gateway holds their session at the captive portal — no app to download, no password to remember.
The network, end to end
Follow a single visitor through the whole Grandeur Connect pipeline — from the moment they tap your network name to the moment a targeted promotion returns to their screen.
~2 seconds
A visitor selects your branded SSID. No app, no voucher, no staff involvement — the device is held in a secure guest VLAN.
~8 seconds
Your welcome screen opens in the guest’s language. They watch a short promotion, share a verified profile and give explicit consent.
<1 second
The venue gateway opens the session with per-user speed limits, content filtering and a device quota — internet flows instantly.
Real time
Sessions stream to the Grandeur cloud where visits, dwell time and demographics build a living profile of every venue.
Next visit onward
Advertisers target that audience by city, venue type, age and interest — the right offer lands on the right screen, and revenue is shared with you.
Solutions
How it works
01
We provision your gateway and point its captive portal at Grandeur Connect — no new hardware needed on most networks.
02
Visitors accept the terms, share a verified profile and watch a short branded promotion to unlock free WiFi.
03
The ad engine matches each guest to the highest-value active campaign for that venue, city and audience.
04
Venues see their revenue share, advertisers see performance, and reports land in inboxes automatically.
No vague promises. All 30 questions we get asked — installation, the guest session, how a promotion is chosen, portals and permissions, data protection, support and commercials.
Grandeur Connect builds and operates the captive-portal layer that sits in front of public WiFi. A guest connects at a partner venue, is greeted by a branded welcome screen, engages with a sponsored message, gives consent, and goes online — while the venue earns a share of the advertising revenue.
Everything runs on one cloud platform: campaign planning and creative approval for advertisers, live router and gateway health for engineers, guest analytics and earnings for venue owners, and an internal ERP covering finance, HR, procurement and field service.
Our field team installs and maintains the hardware, our operations centre watches every gateway around the clock, and our data team turns raw sessions into audiences advertisers can target by venue type, city, age band, language and visit frequency.

Our mission
Turn every guest WiFi login into measurable value — for the venue that owns the network and the brand that wants to be seen on it.
Our vision
One connected advertising network across Africa: malls, hotels, taxis, buses and public offices from a single cloud console.
Our promise
Consent-first data, transparent revenue sharing with venue owners, and field engineers on the ground when hardware needs attention.
Our journey
Phase 01
Founded in Addis Ababa
Built the first captive-portal gateway for a single hotel and proved guests will watch a sponsored message for free WiFi.
Phase 02
Venue network formed
Expanded across malls, restaurants and cafés with a standard hardware kit and a repeatable installation playbook.
Phase 03
One cloud platform
Unified campaigns, guest analytics, router health, signage and finance into a single console with role-based portals.
Phase 04
Mobility & public sector
Extended the network into taxi and bus fleets, universities, airports and government service centres.
Phase 05
Intelligence at scale
Added forecasting, A/B testing and automated reporting so advertisers optimise spend without lifting a finger.
Hardware, portal software, media sales, analytics, compliance and field service are all delivered in-house — so nothing about your network depends on a third party.
Managed guest WiFi
Carrier-grade gateways, branded captive portals and five-language onboarding installed and monitored by our own engineers.
Advertising network
One buy reaches malls, hotels, cafés, campuses, airports, taxis and buses with video, banner and QR creatives.
Guest intelligence
Consent-based profiles, RFM segments, dwell time and visit frequency turned into audiences brands can target.
Compliance & safety
Content filtering, safe search, encrypted guest data and configurable retention on every venue network.
Field operations
Dispatch, SLA tracking and spare-part logistics so a fault is diagnosed and fixed, not just logged.
Venue economics
Transparent revenue share, monthly statements and an owner portal showing guests, impressions and earnings.
Consent-first data
Guests opt in before any detail is stored, and every record is encrypted at rest.
24/7 network watch
Our operations centre monitors every gateway and raises a job before venues notice a fault.
Five languages
Portals greet guests in English, Amharic, Oromo, Tigrinya and Somali.
No hardware cost
Venue partners get equipment, installation and maintenance included in the partnership.
Vendor-agnostic
Runs on TP-Link, MikroTik, UniFi, Huawei, Cisco, ZTE and D-Link fleets.

Sami Abrham

He turns the company's business vision into dependable technology — deciding how products are designed, how systems connect, and how the platform stays fast, secure and available for every venue, advertiser, driver and guest.
Working side by side with the Founder and executive team, he balances innovation with stability: new features ship quickly, but only on foundations that can carry the long-term ambition of an African technology ecosystem built from Ethiopia.
